New attraction: park chess at the Parkbad

Chess enthusiasts and everyone who would like to become one now have a new way to pursue their passion: on the terrace of the Parkbad Waidhofen there is a new park chess board. Visitors can move the pieces across the large chessboard, play exciting games and enjoy the “royal game” in the open air.

100 years of Schachklub Kufstein: anniversary tournament with a € 4,500 prize fund

From 31 July to 2 August 2026 the Schachklub Kufstein celebrates its 100th anniversary with the 1st International Senn Gruppe Open. At the start in the NMS Kufstein, participants can expect 5 rounds under the Swiss system, rated for Elo and DWZ, divided into two playing classes.

SCHNELLSCHACH - Landesmeisterschaft in Bad Erlach

Am 20. Juni fand im Bad Erlacher Café-Restaurant Sabine die dritte große Veranstaltung im Zusammenhang mit der 75-Jahre-Feier des Schachklubs statt: Insgesamt 64 SpielerInnen kämpften auf den 64 Feldern in einem 9-rundigen Turnier um den Titel eines NÖ-Schnellschach-Landesmeisters.
